Preface states that this book "has been written for all classes of people: both for those who desire rich, well-seasoned dishes, and for those who prefer more plain diet." This book is a very rare copy of the author's improved revision of her' book "Every Lady's Book." Very Good.

This book, published by McClure, Phillips and Company of New York in 1907, is the First American Edition, published the same year as the first English edition published by William Heinemann in London the same year. Also includes recipes of hot and cold entrees, desserts and meringues, plus photo illustrations. Mrs. Ericsson was the owner ot The Swedish, French, American Cooking School. Good/Poor.

Cover is worn and scuffed, spine lettering still bright, contents moderately foxed throughout and occasionally dampstained, several signatures protruding, but binding is holding tightly, inscription on front endpaper and former owner's name on title page. Originally published in 1806, this edition is described as "a new edition, corrected." This edition was first published in 1816. Good.
